Kota Kinabalu or KK’ as it is popularly known, is the gateway and State Capital of Sabah. Kota Kinabalu was rebuilt after the 2nd world war and today it is a new city with infrastructure built on extended land towards the bay. It has a population of about 500,000.

Itinerary
Tour commences with a drive to signal Hill for a bird’s eye view of Kota Kinabalu, We will make a photo stop at the Wisma Tun Mustapha (formerly known as Sabah Foundation Building) which was built in 1977. It is a magnificent building with 30-storey tower block, and is one of the few buildings in the world that utilize a single column structure.  Other scenic places to visit include the Atkinson Clock Tower, the State Mosque with it’s gold inlaid onion dome, known to be the largest dome of it’s type in Malaysia, and the State Museum been built in 1985. The museum has a collection on history of Sabah, an exhibitions galleries, and models of traditional houses representing the many ethnic communities of Sabah. Other visits include the Chinese Buddhist Temple with a huge statue of Kuan Yin and finally the handcraft center for souvenir to bring home.
