Itinerary
Depart at 0800 for Kinabalu Park Headquarters on a 2 hours drive. The park is known for its diverse range of flora and fauna and the majestic Mount Kinabalu. The local KadazanDusun named it as Aki Nabalu or “Revered Place of the Death”. It is believed that the Spirits of the tribe’s dead ancestors dwell among the forbidden peaks. On the way, we will make a stop at the local market of Pekan Nabalu. At the park, the Mountain Garden guided walk provides an informative overview of the Kinabalu Park. The garden is landscaped with most of the flora species found in the area such as wild orchids and begonias. Other highlight for this tour includes guided walk, nature trails, mountain garden talk, and interpretative displays. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.
